Conservation Drone Services, LLC is owned and operated by Seth Rankin, with help from his wife Kayla and son Lucas. Seth has an extensive background in the wildlife and natural resources management field, starting with a degree in fish and wildlife management from Hocking College as well as other studies in wildlife management from different accredited colleges. He has worn many different hats over the years and has worked professionally for state and federal agencies as well as private wildlife and land management organizations. Most recently prior to forming Conservation Drone Services in 2023, he worked as a Wildlife Biologist and Land Stewardship Director for two separate private organizations, was a licensed real estate agent for hunting and recreational properties, and honorably served a 6 year term in a cavalry unit with the Ohio Army National Guard. He also is the owner of Conservation Contracting, LLC, which is a successful contracting business that he created in 2018 that completes natural resources and wildlife management practices for both private and public landowners. Seth formed Conservation Drone Services in 2023 after flying drones recreationally for 3 years. He realized an opportunity to invest in a game changing technology that will be an asset to natural resource and wildlife managers, landowners and hunters. Through hard work, honesty and dedication Seth has earned the trust and respect from many in his field of work including colleagues and clients. He is a licensed Ohio Prescribed Fire Manager through the Ohio Division of Forestry, licensed Commercial Herbicide Applicator through the Ohio Department of Agriculture, and licensed Remote UAS Pilot through the Federal Aviation Administration. Seth has a passion for hunting, fishing and trapping and is an all around outdoorsman. More importantly though he considers himself a conservationist first, and strives to constantly give back to nature and to others through his work.
